Dragonia is RULED by six Western Dragons. Dragon of Earth, Dragon of Water, Dragon of Wind, Dragon of Fire, Dragon of Sun, and Dragon of Star. We dragons had lived peacefully and harmoniously in the universe for many ages, living without fear. Our life however, came under great peril at the birth of mankind. Man both loved and hated us, for we are beautiful creatures, that soared high above their fields keeping watch, but we were also considered to be hideous beasts that spouted flame and brought fear. Out of their own selfish desires, men hunted us. Our great leaders of the old had past beyond living and were no longer there to lead us during our time of peril. Thus, we were forced into hiding, denied of the privileges that we once took for granted. Where now were we to go? For we could no longer stay in this world. Thus, we passed into dreams, leaving all memory of us to legend and fairy tale. Man however, could not accept our disappearance and began to seek us. Their journey began with a scouring of the earth, searching the mountains and valleys, but their pursuit yielded no fruit, yet it came to them one day, that a young boy had seen one of us, and even more so, touched one. Men from around the world began to flock to the boy asking him questions about the dragon’s whereabouts. When he had seen it, what it had been doing, and most important of all, where. He answered all of their questions to the fullest detail, yet in doing this; the boy who was once full of innocence, broke our trust, and became one of the men that we most hated. The men at once began a new search, not a search of the earth as they had done before, but a search of the dream world. Our entire race would be lost should we not be able to defend our home yet again. It was this fear that brought about the birth of us six. Dragon of Earth, Dragon of Water, Dragon of Wind, Dragon of Fire, and most importantly, Dragons of Sun and Star. We would come to be the greatest rulers in all of dragon history. All with a purpose in life, and all with a sacred vow to protect those in danger. Myself, Dragon of Land; would be keeper of the records, wise in all knowledge, Dragon of Water; would be keeper of the gates, guard of all the land, Dragon of Wind; would be keeper of peace, judge to the evil doers. Dragon of Fire; would be keeper of trust, comfort to the lonely and tired, Dragon of Sun; would be keeper of star, friend to the most powerful dragon of all, and Dragon of Star; who would be keeper of hope and all that is good. Among all of these the greatest are Sun and Star.
